Sandra Kuzmich, Ph.D., is a partner in the New York office of Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP and leads the firm’s life sciences practice group. She focuses her practice in the area of strategic intellectual property counseling, and pharmaceutical product life cycle management. Dr. Kuzmich is particularly experienced in developing and managing diverse patent portfolios in view of a client’s immediate and long-term business objectives. Additionally, her litigation practice is concentrated in the area of pharmaceuticals, with a primary emphasis in the management of cases brought under the Hatch-Waxman Act.

Dr. Kuzmich received an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Douglass College, Rutgers University and a Ph.D. in pharmacology from Yale University. Following her graduate studies, Dr. Kuzmich joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Prior to joining FLH, she spent several years in the private pharmaceutical sector, where she managed departments in the US and collaborated with Asian and European counterparts in the areas of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics regarding worldwide regulatory submissions. This education and experience, along with her extensive expertise in intellectual property counseling, allow her to appreciate and strategically manage all facets of issues critical to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
